Driving manual is insane
  Monday, February 01, 2010

The month of January is over and dang did it fly by so quickly.

I think i'm getting the hang of going to college every morning though i've forgotten to bring my id twice and my jacket once. The day i didn't bring my jacket, i had to get Mum to pass it to me in between classes otherwise i'd freeze to death. Lol.

We've had a few more additions to PB2 which is rather odd. Even today there was a new guy. After four weeks in college and they still want to change class. What la. Lol.

For the past few Saturdays, i've been waking up at the insane hour of 6.30am for driving lessons. Can die i tell you. Whole day out. ><! So today i finally took the trial driving test and i passed. After 2 more lessons (= 4 hours) i'll be taking the real thing and i really really hope i pass and be rid of manual cars FOREVER. Such a pain i tell youu.

Huzafa
  Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Everyone in PB2 thought this day would never come, but it did!

Huzafa has appeared!! HAHA.

You should have seen Ms. Chong's face. Priceless. xD

So. Apparently he's not been around cuz his grandfather passed away so we were all sorry to hear that. He's from Thailand so he speaks really really gently like all Thais do. o.O Not that i've actually spoken spoken to him but i've heard him speak lah. =)

Ms. Tee, our math teacher is nice but mean. Since she's started teaching, we've been going home everyday without homework but we arrive home, check our mail and voila! We have homework. LOTS of it. I think there's been at least 120+ questions already. Not only that, but we've got a math test tomoro. GAH. On quadratics, inequalities and surds. Talk about fast learning.

Oh yeah. Everyone in PB2 wore white tops and blue jeans today, except Tracion =( i dunno why tho. But it was fun! Ting got the idea from a SNSD picture. Typical. Haha. We took pics and all. xD Talk about berbonding.

College!
  Sunday, January 17, 2010

It's a whole new world.

First week of college just ended! Orientation was on Tuesday and at first i thought my class, PB2 was quite stoned and unfriendly lah after hearing from both Sheng and Ryan that their class peeps actually went up to them and said "Hi, what's your name?" and all that. But suddenly i find that PB2 is ber-bonding very well. =DD

We've made friends with almost everyone in the class already though we are still trying to encourage the 2 koreans to be a little less shy. And then of course there's Huzafa. HAHA. In short, I'm starting to love my class. Oh yeah, we're the class of glamour names. Hee. You wouldn't believe what kind of names people have. Pretty cool. Hee. =D

I'm taking Econs, Accounts, Math and Business Studies. All the arts subjects and at the moment i'm still kind of wondering whether i made the right choice. Thinking about the future, i'm uncertain. All the "what ifs" appear in my head. And i think, what will happen if i decide not to go into accounting or business or whatever it is that i can do from this course? Should I have taken science maybe? GAH. So what i'm gonna do right now is surrender it all and trust in Him. =)

On a side note, I just realized I don't have a picture of Henney on my blog. Wtc. Haha. Why don't i?! Why did i never think about it? Me is gonna put one up. Only if i could figure how to get rid of that empty rectangular box up there and replace it with a Henney poster. =D

2010
  Sunday, January 03, 2010

I'm sure you've seen my FB status and yeah that's what i think.

Crap. It's January of 2010.

Since last year was a bad year (it's odd saying last year~) I'm hoping that this year will be better. With college starting and all, it'll be a whole new environment and then of course there are THOSE PEOPLE who will all be going away this year off to overseas. =(

So let us all make a new year resolution for this year to be a good year. To work hard and put all high school immaturity behind, look forward and plan for the future.

Blessed New Year all. =)

Christmas of 2009
  Wednesday, December 30, 2009

Christmas of 2009 marks the end of one year and the beginning of the end of the holidays. Of course that's not all it is. Being that Christmas is the day that Jesus was born and 'we are the reason for the season', it's one of the most important days in the year.

Few days before the 25th, we had the annual NCOs/officers/ex-members dinner at Wei Ren's place. I believe WR cooked the turkey yay! Awesome mann. And i'm in love. With his adorable little doggieee whom i think is half blind and has no tail and yet is still sooo cute! And i saw Ben for the first time since he came back! When he told me he cut his hair i expected it to look like the first time he straightened his hair but when i saw him i went O.O it. was. short. As in short SHORT. But Ben!! Don't worry lah. You still look good. Don't self-conscious all! =D

Next day, I went to Msa's house for another BBQ although we didn't really barbeque anything. Her dad did. Hee. I think Drew, KB and I were the only 'aliens' cuz the rest of them were Sigma peeps. But i had fun anyway! With the Uno Stacko and the 'drink' and all that. Owh yeah! Msaaaa!! Your mum's Mee Siam rocks! Yay! and i supplied the chocolate dessert again. So we had brownies and ice-cream after the heavy meal. =)

Have i mentioned that prom was a blast? =)

Missing Camp Alreadyy.
  Monday, December 21, 2009

This year's FBC Youth Camp - Die Hard, Live Free was held in Fraser's Hill. The journey up was a bit headache-y cuz the road was soo windy. I sat next to Greg in the bus and was glad he didn't throw up. ><! Thankfully i don't get car sick/motion sickness so it was okay for me.

It was a cool place. The weather was lovelyy tho it rained/drizzled quite a bit. Wunnerful weather that you can't get in Subang. It was quite misty in the mornings and evenings so you couldn't really see 10 feet in front of you. So cool right? (Sorry lah. My first time in Fraser's. Even Cameron's wasn't like that. Hee. =D) My apartment was on of the furthest blocks and allllll the way up on the top floor. Good exercise but considering my fitness level and all the bugs and the rain. nearly gave me a heart attack. Especially the bugs. Ack! Benjiiiiii.

So on the way up, Rach texted me (she was on a diff bus) and said I'd be shocked when i see the camp speaker. So in my head i was thinking "Why shocked lah? He's from the US, he's chinese and he's gonna be some uncle fella, right?" Wrongg. During lunch i asked Rach to point out the speaker to me and my eyes went O.O. Haha. Sure enough i was shocked. He's only in about his late twenties and he's a pastor already and i thought he was one the campers. So i had to do a mental re-imagery of Pastors and camp speakers and what not. Lol.

This year, the committee took a few ideas from Teenstreet. We had 'Sshh..TIme' and the 'Prayer Walk'. Both of which were pretty good. The 'Schtime' (pronounce it) as Manda called it was good but i think not very effective among the younger ones. (Am i getting old or what?) We were supposed to keep silent and reflect for about 30-45 minutes every morning after the session. Naturally, some of them would talk or fall asleep. Yikes. Haha.

Prayer Walk had much better results. Instead of having AmazinGrace this year we had this. There were 12 stations and it wasn't a race to see who finished first. Each station was based on a world umm... what do you call it... issue? Problem? Such as starvation, AIDS, missions and that sort of thing. There would be a task to do and then we'd pray. A lot of it impacted me. Too bad we ran out of time so my group only managed to finish 6 stations. or was it 7?

Another new idea was 'The Big Give'. Each team was given a thousand points and a list of things to do for the other teams. As you complete each item on the list your points get minused and the least points you have, the better. So the goal was to deduct as many points as possible from your 1000 points. We had items such as giving gifts, serenading, serving food to the other teams and more.

Then of course we had 'Angel and Mortal' again this year the same way we have it every year! Each person picks a name and that's his/her mortal. You're supposed to look out for, communicate and give gifts to your mortal anonymously. Since everybody's name gets picked, we're all Angels and Mortals simultaneously. This year's best angel was Caleb Mamman! who was Rach's angel. =D

Then of course we had skit night. Based on the theme 'discipleship'. My group (Thomas Edison) got third. Yay!! This year's skits were a bit bizzare cuz we had all sorts of weird settings such as Chinese Opera, Egyptian, Pirates, Bollywood and each team was given songs to incorporate into the skit. Ours was 'Dance Dance' by Fall Out Boy so can you imagine putting that together with Chinese Opera? HAHA.

The sessions and workshops were really good too. Justin had a different way of giving the message and it was refreshing. He told it in such a way that he put you into the story instead of telling a story. One time, he even acted out the story of Jesus feeding the 5 thousand. It was really good and nobody fell asleep like we always do so i'm pretty sure he managed to get us all to pay attention and make the message stay in our heads. For me at least it worked. He had an interesting and unique way of viewing the characters in the Bible which made us all go o.o This time, I really understood all that he was trying to get across to us which was really important and the whole point. =)

Sooo. I'm back home and lazy to wait for pictures to upload onto photobucket. No photos for the mo.

And owh yeah. Prom was a blast. =)

Start of a new week
  Monday, December 14, 2009

It's the first monday I've had without having to study. Yay! Yesterday when i came back home after dinner I was like "o.O  I don't have to studyy!" Such a happy feeling. ^^

I cut my hair today. It... looks the same. Just shorter and a bit neater but otherwise it looks as if i haven't cut ittttt. Although the family says it's fine i believe Jefri could have done a better job. GAH. Why did he have to be busy these few daysss. T_T

Wot-evah.

So. On Saturday we had the annual 'cell-group' Christmas dinner! 'twas at Euro Deli this time. We had the buffet and food was sooo good. Hee =D Got to fiddle around with the cameraa~! Then after dinner everyone came to the house to have wine and sparkling juice. Since they stayed until quite late. Rach and I were almost like zombies by the time she went back. Haha. and owh yeah. We managed to have a successful brainstorming session and figure out something after taking such a looooong time. Now we feel stupid right, Rach? HAHA.

I haven't been posting up photos cuz Photobucket hates me but now it's worklng so yeah.

Here's a few photos from our stay in Penang...

Back Home
  Friday, December 11, 2009

Sooooooooooooooo. I'm back homeee!! The drive back home from Penang was simply torture. I was sitting at the sun-blazing-in side the car and I had no mercy from the clouds throughout the whole journey. Torture i say.

Our last night in Penang was spent in HRC Penang!! We didn't have dinner there though. Only supper. I saw in my Unc's Golf GTI (HEH =D) on the way up to Batu Ferringhi to the Hard Rock Hotel and it was soooo fun. Haha. Yay for uncles who drive fast but still safely!! We had to wait awhile for a table cuz HRC was jam packed so we wandered around the hotel lobby taking pictures of this and that. 'Twas a novelty, one would say. =)

So in the end we managed to get a table to sit the nine of us. Dad and 'Chek were the only men at the table. Hee. =) We had alcohol, coffee and brownies with ice-cream!! Then the band started playing at about 10.45pm. And they were good. Like really good. Two guys and one girl. The girl could reach a high range, one guy could sing really well, the other could rap really well. And they all sang in tune! Owh yeah. The electric guitarist who was equally chun looked like the long-haired dood from BEP. Last song of the night was 'Let's See How Far We've Come' by Matchbox 20 (or was it just Rob Thomas?) It was the most fun night I've had in AGES.

After that, Tuach and I went back to the cousin's place to take more pics and force the Uncle to give us the pictures. I finally FINALLY managed to get the long-lost CNY photos from him. See what i mean by force?

On holidayyyy~!
  Thursday, December 10, 2009

Think of more like the Green Day song "Holiday" (reference to the title)

SPM is officially OVER for me. And I'm back to blogging. Hiatus is over too obviously. For those who still have like Chinese and some other random stuff quite kesian lah. But i'm on holiday for the rest of the year and only until January 12 2010.

SPM was... is hard to describe. I don't usually like to gauge how i do for exams so the max i'll say is "okay laaa." I had the crappiest seat in the stupid exam hall. Right at the back of the hall (made up of four classes) and at the corner. I was the only one from my class who was there so it was pretty pathetic. *Bersendirian* But WHO cares anymore!!! I tore up the exam slip taped to the table the moment the invigilator collected my Chemistry paper 3. Whoot whoooooot~!

I've registered for A-Levels in Taylors already so that's why only until January 12th. Some would say it's pretty sad 'cuz i won't get much of a holiday but i never really saw the point in wasting time and starting later. And it looks like i will be following in my eldest sister's footsteps and take up accounting. Who knows maybe i could even end up doing what Dad does. But for the moment it's A-Levels and cluelessness as to what to do next.

So I've got a pretty packed December this year. So many things to look forward to. At the moment, I'm actually typing this from all the way in Penang. Got to see the two younger cousins after one year and my aunt and uncle and my grandma (yes sheng. my funny grandma). Somehow or other the family managed to leave the house at 6.20am this morning which is something we haven't done in ages. And with the five of us too. It's been a few years since we've had all the five of us taking a trip up to Penang. I've started eating good Penang food eventho i've got the slight stomach flu but thankfully my headaches have disappeared. According to the doctor, those headaches were self-induced and caused by stress. o.O since when Li-Hsien stressed right?? I KNOW! Haha. But really. They disappeared the evening SPM ended for me. Yay!!

The next thing to look forward to after the Penang trip is YOUTH CAMP! This year's theme is Die Hard, Live Free (yeaps. taken from the movie) and it's about discipleship unlike last year's U-Turn which was more evangelistic. Me is looking forward to it. Definitely.

After that is prom! The downside is that i come back from camp the same day Prom is happening. So yeah. Hopefully i'll be able to get back home early enough to do my hair and everything. Thank God for the hair curling iron Tuach brought back. I've decided which dress to wear or so i say. I may change my mind again. =P

Then it's CHRISTMAS! I love Christmas and it's my favourite day of the year. It's not only presents and the atmosphere and the whole happy happy thing but i mean come on! It's a celebration of the birth of Jesus! Then again, the whole happy happy thing adds to the happy happiness.

Then after Christmas would be NCO Retreat. (Damnn i'm busy) I short trip to plan for the upcoming year of BB2SJ. It'll be our 10th anni so i'll prolly be staying for one more year. Not to mention Pesta 2010 in Penang. Haha. Looking forward to it!

I've watched New Moon alreadyyy. I watched it on the Friday before the Chemistry papers. Brilliant right? Haha. I am sooooo Team JACOB lahh. I mean come on!!! Whoever isn't has sooooo bad taste in guys. Taylor Lautner is just too hot and his acting is wayyyy better than Robert Pattinson's and Kirsten Stewart's whom are always so expressionless. Bah. Did i mention that Taylor Lautner is hot? =D

Things to do after coming back from Penang and before camp:
1. Go for facial.
2. Cut my hair.
3. Go for mani/pedi.
4. Really decide which dress to wear for prom.
5. Decide what shoes to wear for prom (would you guys really mind if i tower over youu??)
6. Learn how to put on makeup without help from Tuach. =)

The E.N.D.
